Quick highlights

Wait for the exact variant

A shopper waiting on Size M is not emailed when Size S restocks. Signups are stored per product and per FluentCart variation.

Automatic restock emails

When FluentCart stock changes, pending waiters for that variant get a back-in-stock email. No cron job to set up.

Social proof per variant

Show how many people joined the waitlist for the selected size or color, with a counter you can rewrite.

How it works

1

A product or variant sells out

The waitlist form appears on the product page when that item is out of stock. On variable products it follows the currently selected variant, so Size M can show the form while Size S still has the add-to-cart button.

2

The shopper leaves an email

One field, email only. Guests can join by default. Logged-in customers get their account email prefilled. The signup is stored against that product and that variation, not the whole product.

3

Optional double opt-in

Turn on Confirm your subscription if you want a confirm link before the email is added as pending. Leave it off (the default) and they join immediately.

4

You restock in FluentCart

Update stock the way you already do, including FluentCart Pro Advanced Inventory. The plugin listens for the stock-changed event. There is no scheduled job to configure.

5

Only that variant's waiters are emailed

The Product Back in Stock email goes to pending subscribers for the variant that came back. Restocking one size does not notify people waiting on another. Simple products use a product-level signup.

6

You manage the list

The Subscribers tab shows product, variation, status and dates. Send a restock email to one person or in bulk, and use Reports to see pending, notified and your most waitlisted products.

Main features

Waitlist Settings

Turn the waitlist on, choose where the form sits on the product page, and pick which products it covers.

  • Global switch: Enable or disable the waitlist across the store without losing subscriber data.
  • Guests or login: Guests can join by default. Require login if you only want account holders on the list.
  • Six placements: After or before quantity, after or before price, after product content, or shortcode only.
  • Five targeting modes: All out of stock, selected categories, selected brands, specific products, or every product.
  • Variant aware: On variable products the form follows the selected variant. A simple product signs up at product level.
  • Shortcode: Place the form anywhere with [cartcubes_fc_waitlist_button], including a specific variation ID.

Form Customization

Rewrite every label, restyle the section, and show a per-variant counter so shoppers see demand for the size they picked.

  • Section appearance: Background color, padding and border radius for the waitlist block on the product page.
  • Form copy: Out-of-stock notice, email label, placeholder and the notify button text.
  • Button colors: Background, text and hover colors for the notify button and the optional leave-waitlist button.
  • Per-variant counter: Show how many people joined for the selected variant, with a {counter} token in the sentence.
  • Leave waitlist: After a successful join, an optional removal button lets the shopper cancel from the same page.
  • Notices: Success, confirmation-required, already-subscribed, removal and error messages, each with its own colors.

Email Settings

Five editable templates: subscription, admin alert, optional confirm, back in stock and promotional, with merge tags for product and unsubscribe.

  • Subscription Email: Sent to the customer after they join, or after they confirm if double opt-in is on. Enabled by default.
  • User Subscribed: Admin alert when someone joins. Has its own recipient field. Enabled by default.
  • Confirm your subscription: Optional double opt-in. Off by default. Until they click the confirm link, the row stays pending confirm.
  • Product Back in Stock: Sent automatically when that variant restocks, or manually from the Subscribers tab. Enabled by default.
  • Promotional: Optional extra email after a confirmed signup. Off by default.
  • Merge tags: {username}, {product_name}, {product_url}, {product_info}, {site_name}, {confirm_link} and {unsubscribe}link text{/unsubscribe}.

Subscribers and Reports

See every signup with its variation, send restock emails one at a time or in bulk, and read demand from the reports dashboard.

  • Variation column: Each row shows the variant the shopper waited for, or Any for a simple product.
  • Statuses: Pending, pending confirm, notified and cancelled, with filters for status, product and email search.
  • Manual notify: Send the restock email to one subscriber or in bulk without waiting for a stock event.
  • Reports: Pending, awaiting confirmation, notified, cancelled, total subscribers and products with waitlists.
  • Most waitlisted: Top ten products by signup count, so you can see what to restock first.
