How it works
Shopper opens FluentCart checkout
The plugin finds FluentCart's existing checkout form (block or shortcode) and groups its sections into steps. Nothing new is added to the page.
Information
Contact details, B2B fields, create-account options and the billing address land on the Information step. Default sublabel: Contact and billing details.
Shipping, when the cart needs it
Ship-to-different, shipping address and shipping methods sit on the Shipping step. Auto (the default) hides it for digital-only carts unless Always Use 3 Steps is on.
Payment
Payment methods stay on the Payment step. FluentCart's Place Order button and terms stay hidden until the last step.
Optional Review, then Place Order
Turn on Review Step to add a read-only summary after Payment, with Edit links back to earlier steps. Place Order and terms move to that final step.
FluentCart finishes the order
Coupons, fragments, gateways and Place Order stay FluentCart's. Turn Enable Multi-step Checkout off and the single-page checkout is back instantly.
How to set it up
No new checkout page, block or shortcode. Activate the license, turn the add-on on, then open the FluentCart checkout you already have.
Install and activate
FluentCart must already be set up. This plugin wraps the existing checkout form. It cannot run alongside the SureCart Multi-step Checkout variant.
Activate the license
Open CartCubes for FluentCart, Multi-step Checkout, License. Enter the license key and click Activate License. Storefront JS and CSS stay unloaded until the license is active.
Turn on Enable Multi-step Checkout
Open Settings, General. Enable Multi-step Checkout is on by default. When it is off, FluentCart shows its normal single-page checkout.
Tune the steps
On Settings, Steps choose Auto, Always On or Always Off for Shipping, optionally merge billing and shipping, and turn on Review if you want a confirmation step before Place Order.
Optional: design the progress and layout
On Design, Progress pick Numbered, Progress Bar, Tabs, Text Style or None. Layout covers one or two columns and where the order summary sits. Style covers colors, radii and type.
Open the existing checkout page
Use the FluentCart checkout block or the [fluent_cart_checkout] shortcode you already have. This plugin does not add a block or shortcode of its own.
Turn it off to restore one page
Disable Enable Multi-step Checkout and the storefront is FluentCart's single-page checkout again. No pages to delete.

Setup Guide
Activate the license, turn on Enable Multi-step Checkout, tune the steps, then open the FluentCart checkout page you already have. No new block or shortcode.
- License first: Storefront classes stay unloaded until the license is active, unless you are on a local QA install.
- One toggle: Enable Multi-step Checkout is the master switch. Off restores FluentCart's single-page checkout instantly.
- Existing checkout page: Works with the fluent-cart/checkout block and the [fluent_cart_checkout] shortcode. Nothing new is added to the page.
- Fixed step order: Information, then Shipping (when shown), then Payment, then optional Review. Labels can be renamed. Steps cannot be reordered or added.
Steps and Flow
Turn the add-on on, decide when Shipping appears, optionally merge billing with shipping, and add a Review confirmation step. Step labels can be renamed. The order stays fixed.
- Master switch: Enable Multi-step Checkout. Off restores FluentCart's single-page checkout without deleting settings.
- Shipping Auto, Always On or Always Off: Auto hides Shipping on digital-only carts unless Always Use 3 Steps is on (the default).
- Merge billing and shipping: Combine Information and Shipping into one step labeled Billing & Shipping by default.
- Optional Review: A read-only summary after Payment, with Edit links. Place Order and terms move to that last step.
- Rename, do not reorder: Label and Sublabel per step. Information, Shipping, Payment and Review cannot be reordered or replaced with custom steps.
Navigation and Validation
Rename Continue and Back, gate the next step until required fields are valid, and add an optional wrapper class. Place Order still uses FluentCart validation.
- Continue and Back: Defaults: Continue and Back. Show Navigation Buttons starts on. Place Order keeps FluentCart's native label.
- Block Continue: On by default. Incomplete Step Message: Please complete the required fields before continuing.
- Real-time Validation: On by default. Fields pick up valid or invalid classes on blur and input. Client-side only.
- Place Order is FluentCart's: This plugin does not replace FluentCart's order validation on the final step.
- Wrapper class: Extra Wrapper CSS Class is added to the FluentCart checkout wrapper. Delete Data on Uninstall starts off.
Progress and Design
Five progress styles, one or two columns, summary placement, and color, radius and type controls with a live preview.
- Five progress styles: Numbered (default), Progress Bar, Tabs, Text Style or None. Horizontal or vertical. Numbers or icons.
- Mobile progress: Same as Desktop (default), compact Progress Bar, or Hidden, below 760px.
- One or two columns: Two Column is the default. One Column stacks the form. Order Summary Position: Right Sidebar or Inside Current Step.
- Modern UI: On by default: card sections, selectable payment cards, mobile sticky Pay Now.
- Style tokens: Active, completed and upcoming step colors, button colors, card radius, body and muted text, error and success colors.
