Checkout Fields

Add custom field groups on checkout, with headings, five field types including file uploads, drag-and-drop order and required validation.

Create groups with a checkout heading, drag groups and fields to reorder them, and choose where each group appears: after name/email, after billing address, or before payment. Types include text, textarea, checkbox, select and file. File uploads accept PDF, Word and image files, with allowed types and a maximum size you set once for every file field, and SVGs are always blocked. You can also show a group only for selected products, categories or brands. Required fields are validated at checkout. Answers, including uploaded files, save on the order and show in the admin order view and the customer order details.

  • Field groups: Add groups with a checkout heading. Drag groups and fields to set the order.
  • Placements: Show each group after name/email, after billing address, or before payment.
  • Five field types: Text, textarea, checkbox, select and file uploads, with required validation.
  • Targeting: Show a group only for selected products, categories or brands.
  • Private storage: Uploads sit in a temp folder during checkout, then move to the order. They are never added to the Media Library.
  • Saved on the order: Answers and uploaded files appear in the admin order view and the customer portal.

File upload

Let customers attach a PDF, Word document or image at checkout. Choose the allowed file types and a maximum size once, with a 5 MB default, and every file field follows those rules. SVGs are always blocked. During checkout the upload sits in a private temp folder tied to the cart, never in the Media Library. When the order is placed the file moves to a private folder for that order. You and the customer get a download link, images show a thumbnail on the order, and the files also appear on the thank you receipt.

Show only for selected products, categories, or brands

Restrict a group so it appears only when the cart matches. Pick specific products, a category, or a brand. The group shows when at least one match is in the cart, and category matching includes child categories. Leave the picker empty to keep the group on every checkout.
