Gift Card Settings

Seven tabs cover the master switch, code format, custom amounts, checkout rules and uninstall behaviour.

Open Gift Card, Settings. Save Settings and Reset to Default sit on every tab. General, Custom amount field, Redemption and Advanced are covered here. Recipients and Delivery have their own page.

Enable Gift Cards: On by default. Off stops new cards from paid orders and hides the checkout wallet.
Checkout wallet: Show Have a Gift Card on checkout lists saved cards with Apply, next to FluentCart's coupon field.
Code format: Prefix GIFT and pattern {prefix}-XXXX-XXXX-XX by default, with no 0, O, 1 or I in the random alphabet.
Custom amounts: Store-wide field labels and colours, plus a per-product Allow custom amount toggle with min and max.
Redemption rules: Minimum Cart Total, excluded categories, and On Refund: void, suspend, or leave active.

General

Master controls for issuing and displaying gift cards. Default Expiry Days is 365 (0 means never). Store Logo appears on the delivery email, PDF and print view.

Full General tab: Enable Gift Cards, Show Have a Gift Card on checkout, Default Expiry Days (365), Code Prefix (GIFT), Code Pattern ({prefix}-XXXX-XXXX-XX) and Store Logo.

Enable Gift Cards set to Enabled. Help text: turn this off to stop issuing gift cards from paid orders and hide checkout wallet UI. Subscription renewals do not create new cards.

After Enable Gift Cards is on, the Gift Card Settings widget appears on the FluentCart product editor so you can mark that product as a gift card.

Show Have a Gift Card on checkout toggle. When enabled, a Have a Gift Card box appears in the checkout order summary so buyers can type a code or pick a saved card.

Code Prefix (letters and numbers only) and Code Pattern. {PREFIX} inserts the prefix and each X becomes a random character. Anything else is copied through.

Issued codes using the default pattern, such as GIFT-8NBQ-XULE-YL, in the customer dashboard Received table with copy, status, balance, expiry, Print and History.

Custom amount field

Style the Gift card amount input that appears on the product page when that product has Allow custom amount on. Show label, Amount label, Amount placeholder, colours, corner radius and label size are all editable. Min and max are set per product, not here.

On the product: Allow custom amount checked, Minimum amount 10, Maximum amount empty. This is what actually shows the field on the storefront.

Redemption

Rules applied when a shopper spends a card at checkout. A cart below Minimum Cart Total cannot have a gift card applied. Excluded categories are ignored when working out how much can be spent. On Refund defaults to Void the card permanently.

Minimum Cart Total field. Leave empty or use 0 for no minimum. A cart below this total cannot have a gift card applied.

Advanced

Delete Data on Uninstall is off by default. Turn it on only if you want gift card tables and settings removed when the plugin is uninstalled.
