Download access
Hold a file until a date and time, or limit who can download it, for the whole store or on each product.
Hold a file until a date and time, or limit who can download it. Set this for the whole store, or on each product. The product Download access setting replaces the store date, the hide choice, and the allow list.
Downloads
Open FluentCart, then Toolbox, then Tools, then Downloads. Download limits are the first card. Download access is the card under it.
Store-wide access
Turn on Enable download access rules to add Download access on each product. Turn on Enable store-wide access for one release time, hide choice, and allow list. Available from is the store date and time. Leave it empty for no store-wide wait. Until available can show the file with the date or hide it. The product Download access setting replaces these.
Product Download access
On the product, turn on Enable restriction. Set Available from, choose Show with date or Hide, and limit roles, lists, or tags if you need to. Empty pickers keep the store allow list.
Until available
Show with date keeps the file visible and shows Available on that date. The download link does not work yet. Hide removes the file until the date.
Roles, lists, and tags
Choose who can download this product. A customer can match any selected role, FluentCRM list, or tag. Here the product allows Editor or Contributor, list1 or list2, and tag1 or tag2.
Enable restriction
Leave this off and store-wide access still applies. Turn it on to replace the store date, the hide choice, and the allow list for this product. Leave the product allow list empty to keep the store list.
Account downloads
In the account Downloads tab, a file that is still waiting shows Available on that date. The Download button stays disabled until then.
Purchase history
On the order in Purchase History, a file that is still waiting shows Available on that date. The Download button stays disabled until then.
Receipt
The receipt page shows Available on that date, and the Download button stays disabled until the file is released.
Order email
The order email lists the file with Available on that date. The Download link stays inactive until then.
