Downloads
Cap how many times a file can be downloaded and how many days it stays available on paid one-time orders.
Set optional download limits on paid one-time orders. Cap how many times a file can be downloaded and how many days it stays available. Remaining count and expiry show on the customer order, the account download list, and the WP admin order view. Limit PDFs or all files, store-wide or for selected products, categories, or brands. After a limit is reached, hide the file or keep it visible with an error. The download link will not work.
How to configure
- Open FluentCart, then Toolbox, then Tools.
- Open Downloads and turn on Enable Download Limits.
- Set the count, days, and which files they cover, then save.
Settings
- Enable Download Limits
- Caps apply to paid one-time orders. Subscription downloads stay on FluentCart access rules.
- Max Downloads
- How many times each file can be downloaded per order. Set to 0 for no count cap.
- Expiry Days
- Days after payment that the file stays available. Set to 0 for no time cap.
- After limit reached
- Hide files removes the file from the order, account, emails, and thank you page. Show with error keeps it visible, with the remaining count and an error. The download link will not work.
- File type
- PDF Files limits PDFs only, so other files stay unlimited. All Downloadable Files limits every file on the order.
- Products, categories, or brands
- The cap applies to downloads on the products, categories, or brands you pick. Leave a list empty to keep the store-wide cap for that list.
