CartCubes Trick-or-Treat for FluentCart
A free addon for FluentCart. Show shoppers how close they are to a treat, then optionally apply a FluentCart coupon you already created. Run the bar on the dates, times, and weekdays you choose.

Shoppers see the trick until they reach the goal, then the treat. The same bar can sit in the cart drawer, on checkout, or anywhere you place the shortcode.
Uses a coupon you already made
The treat can show a message, or also apply an existing FluentCart coupon. The code stays hidden until the goal is met.
A schedule you control
Set a start and end date and time, limit the bar to selected weekdays, and choose who sees it.
How to turn the bar on
The bar stays off until the license is active and the campaign is inside its date window.
Activate the license
Open Trick-or-Treat, License and activate the key from the free CartCubes product. The cart and checkout bar does not show until the license is valid.
Set the dates
On General, leave Start Date empty to begin immediately, or pick a date and time. The default end is 1 Nov 2026 at 23:59. Times use the site timezone.
Choose where it shows
On Where, turn on the cart drawer, checkout, or both. The shortcode [cartcubes_trick_or_treat] places the same bar on any page and never applies the coupon.
Pick a goal
On Goal, use a cart subtotal, an item count, or one or more products. A product goal is met when any selected product is in the cart.
How to connect the coupon
The plugin does not create a coupon. It uses one you already made in FluentCart.
Create the coupon in FluentCart
Add the code, the discount, and any product or date limits in FluentCart first. The bar will not change the cart total until that code exists.
Paste the same code
On Treat, enter that coupon code. Choose Show the message only, or Show the message and apply the coupon.
Let shoppers copy it
Click to Copy is on by default. On the treat, the code can be clicked, and it changes to Copied for a moment. Turn the switch off to leave the code as plain text.
Watch the cart
If the cart drops below the goal, the coupon is removed. If a shopper removes it while the goal is still met, it stays off until the cart drops below the goal again.

Cart and checkout
The bar shows in the cart drawer and on checkout. Before the goal it is the trick. After the goal it is the treat.
- Cart drawer: The bar sits above Go to Checkout and updates as the quantity changes.
- Checkout: The same trick or treat notice appears on the checkout page.
- Shortcode: [cartcubes_trick_or_treat] places the bar on any page and never applies the coupon.
- Hidden code: The coupon code is not in the page until the treat is showing.
Goal
Choose a cart subtotal, an item count, or one or more products. The treat shows when that goal is met.
- Subtotal: Compare the cart subtotal with an amount such as 50.00.
- Item count: Count the quantities in the cart. The default goal is 2.
- Products: Search and add products. Any selected product in the cart meets the goal.
- Variations: Choose a specific variation, or Any variation, when the cart must contain that one.
Treat and trick
Write the trick and the treat, then decide whether the coupon is applied for the shopper.
- Message only: Show the treat and leave the shopper to enter the code.
- Auto-apply: Apply the coupon when the goal is met, and remove it if the cart drops below the goal.
- Click to copy: On the treat, the code can be clicked. It changes to Copied for a moment.
- Tokens: Use {code}, {remaining}, {goal}, and {percent} in the title and message.
Look
Use the illustrated Halloween banner or a simple card that matches FluentCart. Replace the art if you want your own images.
- Illustrated banner: Night sky, pumpkin, and treat art, each replaceable from the media library.
- Simple card: A plain card in FluentCart colors, with no badge and no percentage.
- Accent and emoji: Optional accent color for the progress bar, plus a title emoji and a CSS class.
Schedule
Choose the dates, where the bar shows, and what happens when another coupon is already applied.
- Start and end: Leave the start empty to begin immediately. Leave the end empty for no end date.
- Where: Cart drawer, checkout, and the shortcode. Hide the notices after the coupon is applied if you want.
- Other coupons: Skip the treat when another coupon is already on the cart.
- Uninstall: Choose whether settings are deleted when the plugin is removed.
Free addon
Trick-or-Treat is free. Checkout gives you a license key so you can activate the plugin and receive updates.
